Their reply was "are you on BIOS version F4? you can install the new BIOS from (link to the download I said I was unable to install)" so that was a fantastic help from Gigabyte right there, really top notch customer service. Select 'Try Ubuntu Without Installing' to get a live Ubuntu desktop. If it doesnt, press any key at the start of the boot process, select 'Boot Manager', and select your USB drive. The BIOS should automatically boot from the USB drive. I contacted Gigabyte stating my question, my BIOS version (F4) and that the download from their site refuses to open. When youre done, connect the USB drive to your Chromebook and reboot. My disk drive is apparently broken or the disk i got with the MoBo is defective so thats not an option, the download from the Gigabyte website refuses to open on my PC and I have no USB stick on which to copy the update for install. The current version on my Gigabyte h110m-s2h is F4 which came installed. Anywho, I am wondering if anyone can tell me how I would go about updating the BIOS on my MoBo. I know, i'm a pain for asking stuff you must find trivial but I don't know where else I can ask where I get good replies in a timely manner.
